J. Michael King, on CD: Carolina Bar B Que. King indulges himself in the study and playing of the local South Carolina music known as the Piedmont Blues. During his career as teacher and performer, Michael has absorbed many influences and mastered many styles, chiefly blues and R&B, has played guitar backing well known artists and has opened shows for many. Two favorites being Mose Allison and Dr. John. After studying with jazz greats Howard Roberts and Joe Diorio at Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, he's returned to Greenville to teach guitar and perform.
