Artist Statement:
Open skies and endless landscapes are predominant in my work. While working from the memories of my travels in Europe, I relay the emotional aspects of nature thru color in an almost dream-like state. Painting in oils with oversized brushes, I leaving behind the fine details that only nature can create. I work to create a painting where the whole surface resonates simultaneously so that the energy is not released from any part of the painting. My hope is to create works of art that evokes a sense of calmness and tranquility in the viewer.
