One mile past the intersection with Hwy 153, turn left on Rock Springs Road. Turn left on Powdersville Road. Turn right on Mossie Smith. Turn left on Andover into Sitton Hill subdivision. Artist Statement: Through a mix of functional and decorative vessels, I have found a way to explore the tension between the necessary and the self-indulgent. There is a certain satisfaction in the design and production of a utilitarian object- a disciplined, methodical labor that results in an honest day's work. This labor, in turn, infuses a certain honesty into the indulgence of spending time making purely decorative, and essentially unnecessary, objects. |
