Artist Statement:
Painting is my way of expressing my creativity. The artist expresses his soul in his art and his art reaches into the souls of others. Art is an expression of the goodness and beauty within mankind. Quiet contemplation of a work of art brings active mental interaction between the viewer and the art, inspiring appreciation of the limitless heights of our abilities and aspirations. Art evokes a full range of emotions. Painting portraits gives me the opportunity to explore the soul of my subject, idealizing and imrovising to bring out the best in my subject.
