Artist Statement:
After 35 years of professional painting I find myself committed to oils in the studio and watercolors for plein-air. The interplay of light and texture is a prominent influence on the choice of subject and technique. I think of myself as an expressionist in the tradition of Chagall, Matisse and Van Gogh. I am an intuitive, expressive colorist. I strive to give the viewer a sense of uplifting inner connection to my images.
